Kennedy Space Center
Kennedy Space Center is located only 50 miles east of Orlando on Merritt
Island by Titusville. The Visitor Center at NASA offers more than ever for
your group to explore. You will see real spacecraft from past to present,
tour exciting space exploration exhibits and interactive shows.
During the 2-3 hour bus tour, you will stop at the Observation Gantry to view
the launch pads at Complex 39, witness an Apollo launch from a replica of the
original firing room at the Saturn V building, and stop at the data processing
center for the international Space Station.
Don't miss the fantastic, larger than life IMAX movies, currently showing
"Magnificent Desolation" and the Space Station 3-D. Also available at the
Visitor Center is the Astronaut Memorial, as opportunity to attend an open
seating Q&A oriented program with a real astronaut, the Robot Encounter, and the
wacky live action show - Mad Mission to Mars 2025!
Coming in the summer of 2007, will be the most technically advanced exhibit ever
created at KSC, The Shuttle Launch Experience. This 60 million dollar attraction
is a monument to the Space Shuttle program and will bring the dream of lift to
reality!
Groups can enjoy prearrange lunches or dine in one of the many restaurants. Be
sure to save time to shop at one of the many well stocked gift shops.
The US Astronaut Hall of Fame offers the student Astronaut Training Experience.
ATX engages your students in space exploration briefings, hands-on training,
